Black Ops 6 fans would like a classic map from Black Ops 1 to make a return, but it’s probably not the Call of Duty map you’d immediately think of. 

Call of Duty has always made a point of harkening back to older games. In the Modern Warfare series, Shipment has been a staple map since the original Call of Duty 4, while Black Ops loves to add Nuketown every time. 

There are tonnes of iconic maps from the different series that can be revisited and reworked for the new games. That has been the case in Black Ops 6 already with Hacienda returning from Black Ops 4 to much praise.

Fans are still desperate for others to make a comeback too, and they’d like Treyarch to turn the clock all the way back to Black Ops 1. However, it’s not Summit or Firing Range that they want back.

Black Ops fans want Hotel to make a return

There have been calls for Hotel – a map that was added in the Escalation DLC pack – to come back, especially for how “great” it could look in an updated engine.

“I loved this map, seems like it’s never talked about by anyone. I think it’d look great in the new engine,” Redditor Gecko420 said. “That map was so damn versatile when it came to different weapons and style of gameplay. You could literally run any class setup and have fun,” another said.

“This and the map Hazard the golf course from the final multiplayer DLC for bo1,” another suggested. “This was an all-time favorite map for me,” another commented.

When revisiting older games, the devs have been accused of recycling content instead of coming up with fresh ideas. 

Grind is also making a return in Season 2 Reloaded, so they’re seemingly focusing on newer maps. However, going all the way back to Black Ops 1 is clearly something that a lot of players want.
